The season has been far from what Greenback had hoped for coming in.

Both the boys and girls dropped a pair of games to start the week.

Greenback's boys fell 41-39 to Midway Monday and 48-26 to Rockwood Tuesday. The girls lost 45-31 Monday and 59-56 Tuesday.

With the losses the boys fall to 3-12 for the season, 1-8 in district play, and the girls are at 7-12, 2-6 in the district.

Both games were on the road early in the week. The team will return home Friday where they host Tellico Plains. Tellico swept an earlier meeting against the Cherokees.

Six games in total remain for the girls while the boys will play seven with a game against Tennessee School for the Deaf set to be rescheduled after it was canceled last week.

The boys beat TSD earlier in the season for one of their three wins. Both of the teams other two came against Oakdale.

Friday’s game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. with the girls playing first.
