Christopher Harold Wiggins remains in jail on charges of solicitation of a minor for sexual exploitation, possession of a Schedule VI substance (marijuana) and felon in possession of a firearm following a law enforcement sting.

Investigators with the Lenoir City Police Department, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the 9th Judicial Drug Task Force arrested the 36-year-old Wiggins on Sept. 25 at his place of business, Wiggins Siding and Guttering, according to a press release from LCPD Chief Don White.

During the undercover investigation, LCPD Sgt. Jason Butler posed as a 17-year-old and contacted Wiggins using a social media website.

"(Wiggins) acknowledged the age of the (undercover officer) and did make several sexual statements in an attempt to invite the (officer) to his house," according to reports.

Wiggins asked the officer posing as a young man to come to his home and business "presumably for sexual purposes." During the chat, Wiggins told Butler, "I gotta watch what I say cause your age but you can say how you feel," according to the report.

Wiggins provided the officer with his phone number and asked him to call him. "During the conversations that took place ... Wiggins acknowledged the affiant was only 17 years old," Butler reported.

He made several sexual comments, including describing physical features and asking if Butler was into guys, according to the report. "(Wiggins) made several attempts to lure affiant to his house," Butler wrote.

"During the conversation, Wiggins describes his body features to the (officer) and tells the (officer) to say he was 18 years old," according to the report.

"Wiggins made several sexual comments and could be heard moaning by the (officer) as Wiggins told the (officer) to talk him through this and then stated 'you know what I mean'," Butler wrote.

Wiggins asked Butler to come over to the house and then asked him to take a picture of himself and send it to him.

"It is believed by your affiant that this act of solicitation would have been completed by the child following through with Wiggins' request to come to his residence," Butler wrote. "The result would have been a statutory rape and exploitation of a minor."

Wiggins also talked about smoking marijuana.

After his arrest, a search warrant was executed at Wiggins' house and officers located a small quantity of marijuana, a rifle, a shotgun and a semi-automatic pistol. According to White, two computers and audio/video recording devices were also seized.

Wiggins remained in jail without bond as of Tuesday's presstime.
