(Last modified: 2012-09-24 16:50:05) Source: News-Herald Lenoir City High School students are packing up and heading
home early after a water main break flooded the front staff parking lot this
morning.
Administrators dismissed class at 12:30 p.m., and parents should have received a message on the break, said Pam Sims, supervisor of instructional services. Buses are running and car riders can be picked up at this time. Mike Sims, supervisor of support services with the school system, said Lenoir City Utilities Board will have to shut water off at the school to fix the break. "It's blowing water out of this hole so fast they can't pump it out fast enough so that's why they have to shut the water down," Mike Sims said. He expects school to resume tomorrow. "We don't know yet. I'm sure it will because they said it will take them three hours and they said they'll fix it today," he said. Copyright © 2013, News-Herald |
