Helen Ruth Smith, 88, Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at her home.  She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Hattie Hill; husband, Dock Smith; daughter, Carol Ann Smith; granddaughter, Rhonda Mills; brothers, Kenneth, Roy L. and Carl Hill; sisters, Ailene Pass, Hazel Arden, Lorene Smith.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Jay Craig of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Brent Watts and wife, Bonnie, Derek Craig all of Lenoir City and Della Lyles and husband, Donald of Knoxville; great-granddaughter, Christy Watts along with several other great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Iva Dailey of Murfreesboro; several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 5-6:45 p.m. Saturday with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. in the Hawkins Chapel at 102 B Street in Lenoir City. The Rev. Jimmy Riner and the Rev. Shane Grayson officiated. Family and friends will gather at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery for graveside services and interment.
