Georgia Ruth Harris, 88, Lenoir City, died Saturday evening, Feb. 23, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Vernal Harris; her parents, Otto Ennis Coward and Eva Brooks Coward as well as her brother, Kenneth Coward.

A homemaker, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kaye and Buddy Hathcock; her son, Gary Harris, all of Lenoir City; and cousin, Mike Brown of Knoxville.

The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Chapel in Lenoir City. Family and friends gathered at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services and interment with the Rev. Keith Wilkerson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Loudon County Humane Society, P.O. Box 602, Lenoir City, TN 37771.

Hawkins Chapel, 102 B Street in Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
