Gordon E. Myers, 83, Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at his home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and attended Two Rivers Church. Gordon was retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co., and was a member of UAW Union Local #974. He was an avid golfer. Gordon loved life, the Lord and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Vernie Myers; twin son and daughter, Dennis Myers and Danette Gossage; infant brother, Willard Lee Myers and brothers, Clarence, J.D. and Albert Myers. He is survived by his daughters, Pam Robbins and husband, Scott of Peoria, Ill., Martha McIntosh and husband, Rick of Loudon, Beverly Myers and Doug Bailey of Lenoir City; son, Paul Myers and wife, Pat of Paint Rock; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Vonnie Myers of Lenoir City, Curtis Myers and wife, Neva of Mississippi; sister, Jewel Ault of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Ed Umbach officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Friday in the Loudon County Memorial Gardens for graveside services. Military honors will be conferred by the Loudon Co. Veterans Honor Guard.
