B. C. 'Charlie' Morton

B. C. “Charlie” Morton, 94, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at his daughter's home in Rhea County surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong member of Martel United Methodist Church. A veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp serving during World War II. Charlie was retired from Oak Ridge K-25 plant. He was a member of Highland Park Ruritan Club and a volunteer at Iva's Place.

Preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Laura Morton; son, Donald Wayne “Deano” Morton; brothers, Frank, Claude, Raymond, Joe John and Oliver Morton, and sister, Winnie Blanche Morton.

Survived by his wife of 68 years, Marie Morton; children and spouses, John and Dorothy Morton of Lenoir City, Sue and Harry Voiles of Evensville, Judy and Doug Sexton, and Jennifer Perkins, all of Lenoir City; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Jane Peerman of New Johnsonville, Tenn.; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Friday at the Martel United Methodist Church with the Rev.
