Janice L. Meek Carlin, Lenoir City, formerly of Canton, Ohio, passed away Sept. 6, 2012 after losing her battle with lung cancer.

She retired after a long career in the medical field in Corona, Calif. After retirement, the family relocated to Lenoir City to be closer to family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest Meek and Elvena Morris; sister, Nona Cotyk; son, LeeRoy Block and stepson, David A. Carlin Jr.

She is survived by her husband, David A. Carlin Sr.; sister, Carol A. Bayer, of Tennessee; daughters, Lana and Tiffany Carlin, of Tennessee and Virginia Block, of Ohio; son, Michael Warn, of Ohio; step-daughter, Rebecca Watts of Simpsonville, Ky.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Private memorial services were held in Tennessee.
