James Mitchell Fain was born on Nov. 30, 1956 and went to be with the Lord Jan. 12, 2013, after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer at his home in Lenoir City.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Janice L. Fain and two daughters, Jessica Nicole and Megan Lee Fain. He is also survived by his parents, James and Marilyn Fain of Ooltewah and brother, David Wesley Fain and wife, Patsy Fain of Inman, S.C.; in-laws, Jack and Geneva Lee of Ooltewah, along with several nieces, extended family and friends.

He was an avid sportsman and loved the outdoors. Some of his favorite outdoor activities were fishing, turkey and duck hunting, and sporting clays. He was a successful entrepreneur and his prior businesses included: Service Master of Myrtle Beach, Service Master of Charleston, Snap-On Tools, and Pirate Tools in Knoxville.

He was easily recognized for his Pirate Tool truck which could be seen driving around town sporting the pirate symbol earning him the nickname "Pirate" from some of his customers.

The arrangements will be handled by Click's Funeral Home, Lenoir City. The receiving of family and friends were held at First Baptist Church Lenoir City, 2085 Simpson Road, Lenoir City, TN. Monday, Jan. 14 at 4:30 p.m. with funeral services following at 7:30 p.m.  The Rev. Dick DeMerchant of Lenoir City and the Rev. Chris Gaither, Ooltewah, and family friend Dean Powell, Knoxville officiated.

Graveside service was held 11 a.m. Jan. 15 in the Fain Family Cemetery, County Rd. #415, Manilla Chapel Road, Englewood.
