Ruth Nelson Hair, 91, of Lenoir City, passed away Jan. 1, 2012 at Fort Loudoun Medical Center.
Before her retirement, she was a teacher at Eaton Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. "Fuzz" Hair Jr.; daughter, Sharron Powders; parents, L.A. and Laura Nelson; brothers, Glenn Nelson and Lynn Nelson; and sisters, Juanita Melton and Lynis Glass.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Connie Hair; son-in-law, Vernon Powders; grandchildren, Kelly and Sam Moser, Amanda and Reece Torbett, Laura and Jeff Thomas and John Powders; and great-grandchildren, Laint and Morgan Moser and Stella Thomas.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff in CCU at Fort Loudoun Medical Center for taking such good care during this difficult time. The family received friends from 5-6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at First Church of the Nazarene in Lenoir City. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. with the Rev. David Smith officiating. Family and friends gathered at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Lenoir City Cemetery for graveside services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund at First Church of the Nazarene, 111 Sharp Drive, Lenoir City, TN 37771.
