Theodore 'Ted' James Austin

Theodore “Ted” James Austin, 74, Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at his home.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Ted was a professional driver for Walt and Art Arfons, driving the Cyclone and Green Monster. He later owned his own alignment shop. Ted worked with cutting horses on a ranch in Texas. In later years he drove semi trucks across country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noble Austin and Florence Ulrich; brothers, Bob and Sonny Austin.  He is survived by his longtime companion, Mary Williams; son, Teddy Austin; grandson, Harley Austin; “daughter,” Kristi Sherrod; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Avalon Hospice. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City.
