Ruth Shinpaugh Goodwin, 90, Lenoir City, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. For many years Ruth and her husband, Boyd could be found at the Antique Shop that adjoined their home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Goodwin; son, Robert Goodwin and daughter-in-law, Peggy Love Goodwin; parents, Carl and Bertie Shinpaugh, and brother, William Shinpaugh.
She is survived by her daughters, Wilma Gartrell and husband, Gene of Chester, Va., and Linda Cornett and husband, Earnie of Montana; grandchildren, Tony Goodwin and wife, Janice, Sharon Bays and husband, Joe, all of Lenoir City, Karen Nutter of Pensacola, Fla., Steve Nutter and wife, Roben of Opelika, Ala., David Gartrell and wife, Susan of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Ryan Gartrell and wife, Bethany of Chester, Va.; brother and sister-in-law, J. C. and Mary Shinpaugh of Lenoir City; sister, Barbara Chenault of Houston, Texas; 13 great-grandchildren; three nieces and numerous friends.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Click Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Gamble officiating.
