Sherry McNabb Abercrombie

Sherry McNabb Abercrombie, 58, Lenoir City, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 after a brief illness.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Sherry was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She was a 1972 graduate of Lenoir City High School and Knoxville Business College. She was an executive secretary with Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Curtis McNabb; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Mary Abercrombie. She survived by her husband of 35 years, Steve Abercrombie; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Megan Abercrombie, of Chattanooga, Kevin and Jylian Abercrombie, Brent and Mary Kate Abercrombie, all of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Steven, Kinley and Hadley Abercrombie; mother, Ruth McNabb, of Lenoir City; sister, Tammy Eblen and husband, Danny, of Knoxville; brothers, Dewayne McNabb and wife, Glenda, of Lenoir City, Rodney McNabb and wife, Tammie, of Friendsville; brothers-in-law, Bob Abercrombie and wife, Midge, of Lenoir City, and Don Abercrombie, of Nashville; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Micah Nicolaus officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 Monday morning and proceed to Lenoir City Cemetery for graveside services at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
