Frances Mitchell Strader Buchanan, 94, Lenoir City, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012. She was a member of First Baptist Church for more than 75 years where she held several positions in the church. Frances was a member of the order of Eastern Star and was an avid football fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jack Buchanan; parents, William and Mamie Hines Strader, and brother, Cecil Strader.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Linda Buchanan of Summerville, S.C.; grandson, Jack Buchanan Jr. and wife, Gretchen of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Ashton and Bryce Buchanan of South Carolina; nephew, William Douglas Strader and nieces, Debra Strader, Dee Anderson and Jimmie Catherine Bayless.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Thursday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Dr. Dick DeMerchant and the Rev. Keith Wilkerson officiating.
