Harriet Stout Shipwash

Harriet Stout Shipwash, 84, Lenoir City, passed away Thursday morning, Oct. 18, 2012 at her home. She was a very active member of Central United Methodist Church for more than 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Tinnie Stout; nine brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard C. Shipwash; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamala and Kenneth Heisler of San Francisco, Calif., Melinda and Joe Black of Kennesaw, Ga., Cynthia Young Pesce and Neal Pesce of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Robert Walker Young III, Erin Rachel Black, Eric Ira and Jolen Vivian Allen Heisler; great-grandson, Eric Allen Heisler; sister, Willene Elliot of Mt. Laurel, N.J.; many nieces and nephews. Harriet was also know as "Boots" to her many close friends and family. She was much loved and will be missed by all. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Micah Nicolaus and the Rev. Gary Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Lenoir City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that memorials be made to Alzheimer's Research and The American Cancer Society.
