Anna Belle (Cox) Eblen

Anna Belle (Cox) Eblen, formerly of Loudon, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 in Sevierville where she had made her home the past few years.

She was born Dec. 27, 1916 in Loudon County to the late Charlie Frank and Ollie Williams Cox.

She was a life long member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Loudon. She retired from Loudon County School System, in retirement she worked many years for Maples Vision Service in Loudon.

She had a great love for children, music and cooking. She was past organist of the Order of the Eastern Star, Loudon Chapter 348 and filled in as pianist at many different churches.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James Ralph Eblen; sons, Jerry Dail Eblen, Jim Frank Eblen and infant daughter, Ollie Sue Eblen; brothers, Charlie Clarence Cox and Ben F. Cox.
She is survived by daughter, Ralph Ann "Sissy" Roach, Sevierville; son and daughters-in-law, Mike and Sally Eblen, Loudon; daughter-in-law, Mary Eblen, Sevierville; grandchildren, Cindy Abello, James Eblen, Alex Roach, Ronnie Roach, Jeremiah Eblen and Adam Eblen; great-grandchildren, Anna, Cecilia and Aida Abello, Gavin Eblen, Emily Roach and Patrick Alexander; uncle, Merritt Williams, Chattanooga; nieces, Marilyn Wortman, Linda Buchanan and Joan Pinkley; nephews, David Cox and Gary Cox; sister-in-law and husband, Billye and Rocky Morton, Loudon.

Services honoring and remembering Anna Belle Eblen were held 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, McGill-Karnes Chapel with the Rev. Nick Coker and the Rev. Fred Cook officiating. Interment was held 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Steekee Cemetery.
