Fred Ray, 84, Greenback, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013.
Fred was a gloriously saved man. He was an automotive mechanic and retired as shop foreman from Blount Farmer's Co-Op after more than 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Ray; his parents, Creed and Annie Hill Ray; and his sisters, Charlotte Henry and Ruth Best.
Fred is survived by his daughter, Debbie Singleton of Lenoir City; son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Sherry Ray of Knoxville; grandsons, Chris, Anthony and David Singleton; great-grandchildren, Kensley, Emily, Simon, Josiah and Isaac; special great-granddaughter, Bailey Hall; sister, Dot Mills; and several nieces, nephews, family members and special friends.
The family received friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Guyer officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, in the Oakland Cemetery in Greenback for graveside services and interment.
