Reba Smith, 83, Lenoir City, passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 10, 2013. She was of the Baptist faith. Reba was retired from Yale & Town after 40 years of service where she acquired many friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Harrison (Jimbo) Smith; parents, William M. Parton and Eva Mae Green Massengill; sisters, Faye Parton Shaver, Ruby Parton Hill, Trula Parton Faunce and Myrtle Parton Shaw; and brothers, Grady Woodrow, Edward Parton, Carl Parton and Stanley Massengill Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harrison (Duggan) Smith; sons, Ronnie Dewayne Smith and wife, Wanda, of Bell Glade, Fla., and their children, Dwaine Smith of Florida and Tim Smith of Georgia, Troy Smith and wife, Janice, and their children, Christopher Smith, Matthew Smith and Jason Smith, all of Lenoir City; daughter, Eva Ayers and her children, Christy Nichols and Shaun Nichols, all of Knoxville, the children of the late James Harrison (Jimbo) Smith, Brian Smith of Lenoir City and Tina Ford of North Carolina; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family received friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sammy Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the Loudon County Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers were Dwaine Smith, Tim Smith, Chris Smith, Matthew Smith, Jason Smith, Brian Smith and Shaun Nichols.
