Reba Kay Daugherty Shelton, 67, Lenoir City, formerly of Westland, Mich., went home to be with the Lord Friday, July 12, 2013, at her home. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church and also worked as a medical assistant for many years.
Reba Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Roma F. and Buena Embry Daugherty; brothers, Lee Thomas, Darrell, Glendon, Emmit and Gale Daugherty; and sisters, Velma L. Daugherty Lanham and Vera G. Cochran.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John Shelton; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Renay and Joseph Keen of Westland, Mich.; brothers, Lindon C. Daugherty and Morris Daugherty of Beaverdam, Ky.; and sister and brother-in-law, Nell and Paul Walker of Knoxville; her brother-in-law, James Shelton and wife, Nancy, of Lenoir City; sisters-in-law, Martha Fleeger and husband, Robert, of Lenoir City and Lucille Walker of Dayton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charlie Reynolds officiating. The family received friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013, in the Lakeview Cemetery in Lenoir City for graveside and interment services. www.clickfuneral home.com
