Mary Elizabeth Corum Collins, 89, Lenoir City, passed away peacefully Friday, June 7, 2013. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church for over 40 years and retired from TVA. Mary was an avid golfer and UT fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Collins; parents, Alvin and Zula Corum; brother, Alvin Corum Jr., and sister, Mildred Niles.
She is survived by her daughters, Debby Thompson Lankford of Soddy Daisy and Libby Thompson Cooper and husband, Joe, of Maryville; granddaughters, Jennifer Benson and husband, Jake, of Knoxville and Mary Beth Wilson and husband, Mike, of Maryville; great-grandchildren, Claire Benson, Cameron Benson, Gavin Wilson and Ava Rose Wilson; sister, Joyce Waller of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Revs. Micah Nicholas and Betsy Switzer officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 Thursday morning and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services at 11 a.m. Serving as pallbearers are Joe Cooper, Jake Benson, Mike Wilson, Cameron Benson and Gavin Wilson.
