Jean Campbell, 87, Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at her home. She was a member Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Loudon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rhoten (Bus) Campbell; parents, Thomas Lowell and Minnie Lee Carnett. She is survived by her children, Billy Campbell, Mary Lynn Campbell and husband, Bob Childers, Melissa Glanville and husband, Bruce, all of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Christy Campbell Wiggins and husband, Gordon of Lenoir City, Viki Campbell Patrick and husband, Eulon of Knoxville, Thomas Glanville and Marena Glanville, both of Lenoir City; great-granddaughter, Kayla Ann Johnson; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Campbell and Gladys Campbell, both of Loudon; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Campbell also leaves behind a multitude of former students in the Lenoir City School System, having taught there for 25 years. Jean was a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College and the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a graduate degree in education. Jean and her husband, "Bus" were able to live out their days on their beloved farm on Martel Road where they raised children, animals and flowers.
The family recieved friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. with Rev. Gary Whitworth officiating. Family and friends will gather 11 a.m. Monday in the Loudon County Memorial Gardens for graveside services.
