John Elbert "Knockie" Phibbs, 55, Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Irene Phibbs; half brothers, Robert Phibbs Jr. and Gene Phibbs and half sister, Anna Mae Preston.
He is survived by his sisters, Margaret Amos and husband, Ronnie of Lenoir City, and Alice Mitchell of Philadelphia; half sister, Mary Ruth Dewey and husband, Bruce of Loudon; brothers, J. R. Phibbs of Jackson, Ga., Donald "Buddy" Phibbs of Lenoir City, Charles Phibbs and wife, Rita Gail of Lenoir City; half brothers, Wayne Phibbs and wife, Helen of Paint Rock, Jack Miller and wife, Mary of McDonough, Ga.; Curtis Phibbs and Lydia of San Bernardino, Calif.; fiancee, Debbie Coffman and her daughter, Missy of Lenoir City; aunt and uncle, Arizona and James Selvidge; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors and staffs at Ft. Loudoun Medical Center and Parkwest Medical Center. The family received friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City with funeral services following at 7 p.m. Private interment will be held in the Lakeview Cemetery.
