David R. Phelps, 46, Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at his home.

David was a 1984 graduate of Lenoir City High School and attended Maryville College. He was of member of Fellowship Baptist Church. David was a member of Carpenters Union Local #50. He loved to play his banjo.

He is survived by his parents, O.R. and Sarah Phelps; sister, Sheila Smith and husband, Bert of Lenoir City; nephew, Jon Oody; niece, Hollie Fox; two great-nieces, Laila and Kelsie; great-nephew, Kaiden; and special pets, Sophie and Roscoe.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Eddie Chasteen officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 Friday morning and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for 11 a.m. graveside services.
