Gene Curtis Moles, 84, of the Tellico Village community,
Loudon, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012. Gene was born in Smokemont, N.C. He served in the U.S.
Army during the Korean War. Gene was a 1956 graduate of the University of Tennessee where he
received his bachelor's degree. In 1966, he received his master's degree in agriculture. Gene
was retired from the University of Tennessee as the agricultural extension agent in Loudon County.
He was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Loudon. He was an avid boater and UT
fan. He is survived by his wife, Betty H. Moles; daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Nick
Moskal; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Amy Moles; grandchildren, Jonathan Moskal and Jenna
Moskal; stepchildren, Richard T. Hines and wife Jeannie, D. Mark Hines and wife Pamela;
stepgrandchildren, James Richard Hines and Ashlan Michelle Morelock and husband Davis;
stepgreat-grandchildren, Brooke Olivia Hines, Emma Ann Morelock and Jefferson Davis Morelock. The
family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Memorial
services were held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Rhoads
officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in
