Wanda Dyer Pesterfield, 71, Lenoir City, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012.
She was a loving wife, mother and friend. Wanda retired from Yale Security after 34 years of service. She attended Second Baptist Church. Wanda enjoyed playing piano and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Lee Pesterfield; father James Stanford Dyer; mother, Ruby Dyer Kelley; brothers, Cecil Dyer and Billy Joe Kelley, and sister, Margaret Key.
She is survived by her son, Leslie Pesterfield of Lenoir City; sisters, Mildred Covington, Maggie Bryant and husband, Charles, Betty Crass and husband, Jack, Linda Rose, and Nell Majors; several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Click Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Rick Harrell and the Rev. Larry Brannon officiating.
Family and friends gathered at the funeral home 10:30 Tuesday morning and proceeded to Lakeview Cemetery for 11 a.m. graveside services. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements. www.clickfuneralhome.com
