Phyllis Akins, 64, Lenoir City, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012.
She was a member of Covenant Ministry Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Hicks; parents, Amos and Pearl Cole; brothers and sisters, Floyd Cole, Calvin Cole, Bobby Cole, Elizabeth Horne, Betty Young and Kenneth Cole.
She is survived by her children, Buster Wayne Hicks, Billy Joe Hicks, Bobby Hicks and wife, Kristina and Darla Hicks; grandchildren: Rebecca Hicks, Alfred and Richard Hellard, Brandon and Aleya Hicks; great grandson, Preston Hellard; sisters, Pauline Johnson and Brenda Davis; brother, Eddie Cole; many nieces and nephews, including nephew, Franklin Spears and great niece, Dolly Myers.
The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Junior Young officiating.
Family and friends gathered at the funeral home by 9:30 Wednesday morning and proceeded to Lakeview Cemetery for 10 a.m. graveside services.
