Cordie “C.W.” Willice Holland Jr., 87, of Lenoir City, passed away on Dec. 7, 2012. C.W. was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City where he has served as a deacon and children's Sunday School teacher for many years. He retired from ORNL after 36 years of service. A familiar sight to many of us was C.W. in his wide-brimmed hat, sitting on his tractor as he enjoyed farming along Martel Road.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cordie Willice Holland Sr. and Sadie Kerr Holland; siblings, Christine Hill and Doris Grantham. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Hardin Holland; children, Richard Holland and wife, Phyllis, Sarah Shaver and husband, Van, all of Lenoir City and Lee Anne Spires and husband, Preston of El Dorado, Ark.; grandchildren, Austin Shaver and wife Brittany of Hendersonville, Evan Shaver of Knoxville and Amaris Hawkins and husband Curtis of Moline, Kan., step-grandson, George McDougall; great grandchildren, Caleb and Abby Shaver; siblings, Sue Ella Gowen, Elizabeth Grisham (Bill), Mildred Buffalo (Bill), Harley Holland (Geneva) and Dan Holland (Mary Nell); sister-in-law, Margie Sartin (Jackie) and Beverly Hardin; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. Family and friends gathered at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services and interment.
