Effie Eller Arden, 80, Loudon, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012.

Effie was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Arden; parents, Melvin "Shorty" Eller and Tennie Jacobs Eller; siblings, Mary Board, Bob, Jim, Charles and the Rev. Melvin "Doodle Bug" Eller.

She is survived by: daughters and spouses, Sharon and Mike Coleman, Janice and Joe Russell, Loudon; son, Darrell Arden and Barbara, Tellico Plains; grandchildren and spouses, Kevin and Tammy Brown, Madisonville, Scotty and Bethany Russell, Alcoa, Brad and Annette Brown, Jimmy and Annita Russell, Loudon, Samantha, Angie and LeAnn Arden; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline and Earnest Kirkland, Loudon, Carolyn and George Mayes, Lenoir City, Juanita Rhynes, Kokomo, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Frances Eller, Wanda Eller, Nancy (Bootie) Martin, Elizabeth Arden, Alma "Peanut" Jackson, Philadelphia, Alice Thompson, Chattanooga.

Funeral services were held 7 p.m. Friday at Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ron Davis, Gary Cook, Delbert Humphreys and Rick Kirkland officiating. Interment was 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation was held 5-7 p.m. Friday Loudon Funeral Home.
