Carole Marilyn Blair, Dec. 20, 1934 - Sept. 22, 2012, faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She was preceded in death by Ernest Joseph Balak (husband), and parents Floyd and Nellie Rupert. She is survived by husband, W.F. Blair; daughter and son-in-law, Cara and Tucker Davidson, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Ernest and Lori Balak, Washington, Pa.; grandchildren, Caleb, Caroline, Delaney, Charleston and Bella Davidson, Ernie, Alexis and Victoria Balak.
Bill and Carole married May 24, 1980 and moved to Tellico Village in 1998. She loved the mountains for they reminded her of where she grew up in Pittsburgh, Pa. Carole's life overflowed with the joy of the Lord. Her home was filled with the love of family and friends. She taught Sunday school was involved with church ministries and Bible study her whole life. She loved to cook, especially Italian. She enjoyed water walking with wonderful neighbors and friends.
Carole took pleasure in gardening and flowers. A breast cancer survivor, she was active in the cancer support group at Tellico Village. She had fun playing cards and dominoes. She treasured her visits with her grandchildren.
"Her children arise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her" Prov 31:28. All who knew Carole loved her and were touched by her loving kindness, grace and strong faith in Jesus Christ. Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 260 Wade Road West, Loudon, TN 37774 with Pastor Mark Rhoads officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society Relay for Life Loudon County, 871 N. Weisgarber Rd., Knoxville, TN, 37909. Arrangements by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
