Rev. Ray C. Kelley, 82, Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 at his home. Ray was a long time pastor ministering at three churches almost 50 years. He was a founding member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army Infantry. Ray was retired from the Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge. He was an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe C. and Jennie Tallent Kelley, brothers, J.B. and Jimmy Kelley.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Geneva Ledford Kelley; children and spouses: Steve and Farrell Kelley, Terry and Eddie Brackett, Danny and Betty Kelley, Kim Millsaps, Scott Kelley and Mike Moore; grandchildren, Christy Poole and husband, Brian, John Brackett and wife, Jennifer, Dustan Kelley, Justan Kelley, Clint Kelley, Anthony Kelley, Carrie Kelley, Stephanie Townson and husband, Chris, Ben Millsaps, Morgan Millsaps, Nina Millsaps, Lena Millsaps, Markie Owsley and husband, Josh, and Cody Carver and wife, Chrissy; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Nicole and Caleb Brackett, Kylee and Jacee Poole, Gabrielle Kelley and Blake Townson; sisters, Betty Akins, Edith Richardson and husband, Vaughn; brothers, Bobby Kelley and wife, Linda, Gene Kelley and wife, Geraldine; many nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Ben Ritchey and the Rev. Brad McCoy. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 1:30 p.m. Sunday and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services at 2 p.m. Military honors will be conferred by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard.
