Virginia Lee Moran of Lenoir City passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 5, 2012 at age 91.
She was born in Chicago, Ill. and was a long-time resident of Gurnee, Ill. Virginia had resided in Lenoir City the past 25 years. She was a devoted parishoner of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and was active in a women's Bible study group.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Moran of Lenoir City; sons and daughters-in-law, William and Kaye Anderson of Parker, Colo., Larry Anderson and Cheryl Poindexter of Shreveport, La., Robert and Charlene Anderson of Lenoir City, Kenneth Anderson and Rhonda Harvey of Farragut, Jeffrey and Suzanne Anderson of Lakemoor, Ill.; daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and David Groom of Loudon, Lynn and Ed Steg of Sparrows Point, Md., and Barbara Boss of Fox Lake, Ill.; stepsons, Michael, John, and Kevin Moran, their spouses and families; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Joan Groenwald of Elmhurst, Ill., William and Leah Groenwald of Glasgow, Ky.; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Robert Nagy of Grayslake, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff and friends at Morning Pointe of Lenoir City for their love and care over the past year. The family received friends 5-7 p.m. Friday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. A funeral mass was held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Christian Mathis officiating.
Burial followed in the Loudon County Memorial Gardens. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City, is in charge of arrangements.
