Frances Louise Synan, 73, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at the Loudon Healthcare Center in Loudon. She was of the Baptist faith.
Frances was born in Hickory, N.C. and moved with her parents to Oak Ridge, when she was a child. She lived with her husband, Roy Synan, in both Tennessee and North Carolina before his death. After her husband's death, she resided in Lenoir City and Loudon where she remained close to her parents, siblings and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Synan; her father, Charlie Rowell; and by her sisters, Doris Tatham and Teressa Rowell.

Her survivors include her mother, Ada Rowell of Lenoir City; her brother and sister-in-law, David and Catherine Rowell of Knoxville; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Kenneth Rather of Loudon, Ruby and Dave Ross of Loudon and Vickie Darlene and Don McGuire of Clinton; her brother-in-law, David Tatham of Loudon; many nieces and nephews; and her  extended family members and special friends.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the employees of Loudon Healthcare Center for their kindness and special care.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 at the Hawkins Chapel, 102 B Street, Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Rick Harrell officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for graveside services.
