Missing items at area school lead to arrests
Despite the ever-growing need for financial support for the county’s school system, Fort Loudoun Middle School was recently relieved of roughly $50,000 in way of stolen equipment.

Retirement proposal OK'd
Loudon County Commission followed the recommendation of the Loudon County Economic Development Agency (LCEDA) Board of Directors and approved a resolution Monday allowing LCEDA employees to join the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS). The measure was introduced by Commissioner Bob Franke who attended the LCEDA board meeting last Thursday when the idea was discussed.

  Commission extends shelter agreement
Loudon County Commission voted Monday to extend the agreement to house Blount County’s stray animals until a new shelter can be built there. This is the third time the original agreement has been extended for six months.
